The bricks themselves were still damp and will dry out to look more consistent as will the mortar. So don't panic Mr Mannering! In a few weeks time I'm guessing they will be all dried and looking much better. The true colour of the brick doesn't look like the photos and I think is much nicer in person.
And a weather update...as of 8pm it is raining...again!
