Brick display.

During our mad push to get kids and us fed and dressed to get up to the house to meet the brickies this morning Joe called to say not to worry about the rush as the weather looked very ominous and they are now going to leave starting the job till next Wednesday!!!  Ah well that is sods law isn't it.  But they did a rough display of each of the mortar colours and we are going to wait till the mortar has has a few days to dry before confirming on our choice.  Which is kind of good as I think I would have had a coronary having to decide on the spot this morning.... "which defining colour on the entire exterior of your home do you want to look at forever?"  I actually had that dilemma when we go the roof was being laid.  I preferred it laid straight and Nath and Joe had thought off set would be the best.  Thankfully even after I rang the boss to say to lay it off set I had a horrible feeling it would look too busy and I rang back to say do it straight.  Thankfully my gut feeling was so right and Nath was grateful as the symmetry is perfect and off setting the tiles would have made him mental as to him it would have been like a house full of crooked pictures.

Anyhoo we went out and sorted out getting the curtains for the lounge sorted and looked at LED lighting for the kitchen and hall tread lights.  Plus all the security lights we picked up from Bunnings too.  Unfortunately the kids were being utter toads and we spent the entire morning telling them off, separating them, putting each on time outs in every shop and threatening various things that would happen or not happen.  After stopping to eat and another play in Bunnings we went up to check out the brick displays and have a general cruise through the house and absorb the coolness of all that is happening.  Other than the windows and doors looking awesome and the brick display Joe and Kerrin were boxing in the raised ceiling on the portico/alfresco/patio/whatever the hell it is called, we have decided to call it a portio just till we can find another word that doesn't sound so pretentious.   The Portio looks unreal and we love it!  They have yet to do the beading trim and paint it but it looks so fab!!!!!

Well that's all and here are some pics we took today.
