I'm a Bittumnen, I'm a lover I'm a child, I'm a mother I'm a sinner, I'm a saint I do not feel asphalted!

This is getting harder to do the titles now as we are 1 week and 6 days from handover!!!  Nervous and anxious now!!!

So it finally got done and it looks great!  The girls and I went up to the house to open the garage door for them so they could get it under the garage door edge.  We stayed there all morning and they turned up at 1.00pm.  Just as well I had food, toys  for the girls and cleaning cloths so I could clean out my new fridge!

Will keep this short and sweet as I need to get kids to bed and start to clean and pack for an hour or so to make me feel better....who knows it may work!  Joe is going to use our house as a show-home after all!  So we can ship our new stools up and a few other bits to kind of stage the house a bit then it is less stuff for us to shift next week!

  1. show-home? Please explain... do you mean take photos, or sit in the garage chatting to potential customers?

  2. Joe will advertise in the local to have our home open for potential clients to come over the coming weekend. We are gonna add a few bits to add a bit of something to the area and he is paying us a fee for allowing him to do it. Quite nice to get to show off your home after all the hard work. It may not be to everyone's taste but we love it!

  4. Ah, very good. Hope the day goes well, and the builder gets good value out of it. (And that everyone loves your house of course). So will you be at the house or down the local (pub not paper)? 8^)

  5. Ha ha yes very good. He is manning it Sat and Sun from 1 - 4pm and we tried to drop in yesterday all stealth mode and Joe and his wife had faces like new parents as they had such a good turn out and everyone was so impressed with the house. Nath and I were going to divide and conquer and follow a couple and discreetly see what they were saying about the house but we got busted. Joe was so stoked about the turn out and all the fabulous comments he started introducing us to everyone coming through. Unfortunately no pub for us a tired 2 year old put any idea of that to bed. A few of the subbies were there congregating in the kitchen having a few beers. It was kind of a surreal experience as all these people were in our house we didn't know and were all complimenting us and thanking us for letting them through our house. Plus the bonus came as Joe said he only has such a tiny bit of ticking to do once our final payment gets paid in we can do the handover earlier than Friday!
